How many databases does Yellowfin support? Does it support Big Data?

Yellowfin supports connecting to any database that has a JDBC driver. This is a safe way of saying that we can connect to most relational databases out there. Yellowfin supports direct SQL query access via JDBC, ODBC, JNDI, and XMLA OLAP (for MDX).

Cubes that are exposed via XMLA can be connected to via XMLA OLAP. Cubes included in this list are PALO cubes, Mondrian, TM1, SAP BW cubes, etc.

We can also connect to Big Data sources like SAP Hana, and Hadoop over Hive.

We also have connections to SalesForce, Google Analytics, Zendesk, Facebook – these require custom connectors that just need to be dropped into the Yellowfin installation folder to enable them. Once you have them in the library, they will be selectable after a Yellowfin restart.

Below is the latest list of data sources that Yellowfin connects to today. This list is always growing so if you do not see your data source in the list, post a question and we can help figure out how.
