What database systems does Yellowfin support? Does it support 'big data'?

What can Yellowfin connect to?

Basic Overview:

Yellowfin natively supports connecting to just about any database that has an available Java Database Connection (JDBC) driver. This is a safe way of saying that we can connect to most Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) out there. Yellowfin supports direct SQL query access via JDBC, ODBC, JNDI, and XMLA OLAP (for MDX).

Cubes that are exposed via XMLA can be connected to via XMLA OLAP. Cubes included in this list are PALO cubes, Mondrian, TM1, SAP BW cubes, etc.

Yellowfin can also connect to 'big data' sources like SAP Hana, and Hadoop via Hive.

We also have available direct API connections to third-party tools like SalesForce, Google Analytics, Zendesk, Facebook, and many others. These connections are made by downloading and installing small (free!) modules into Yellowfin.

Bring-Your-Own-Driver Connections:

While Yellowfin can connect to a lot of sources without any additional work from the user, there are some less common data sources that require a small amount of initial preparation. These drivers are usually not included with Yellowfin due to licensing/paywall reasons. Generally, the only work that needs to be done is to drag and drop the database driver into Yellowfin's Plugin Manager, and the application does the rest! Below is the list of data sources that Yellowfin can interface with when given appropriate drivers:

Amazon DynamoDB
