Hi David

Its working fine, as a matter of fact we have ordered a brand new server for YF.

Currently its a Vm and lack resources . We are actually using Win2K8 and sql8 ,

Does it make sense to upgrade to window 2012r2 and sql 2012 ?

Cheers

Hi Mahe

As mentioned above i have order a brand new Server and will start from scratch.

We are currently on Windows 2008 and sql 2008. Does it make sense to go to Windows 2012 R2 and sql 2012 so we are ready for future YF release ??

Hi Frederic,

Yes, that should be alright.

Just make sure you have a backup copy of the DB and the Yellowfin folder before you update or move the DB files and the Yellowfin folder.

If you are doing as a new Yellowfin software install, you may need to first create the Config DB and later on link the Yellowfin to the existing DB.

But I think everything will go smooth.

If you have any questions, let us know and we will help you out.
